2006 National Gathering Details

WHO IS THIS CONFERENCE FOR?
Our Conference theme for this year will address the care of
clergy who are caught in crisis situations - congregational
conflicts, sexual misconduct, marriage & family crisis, natural
disasters, theological cross-fire, etc.
The PPCN is composed of individuals and groups
who are working in presbyteries, synods, and General Assembly
structures of the PC(USA) and other denominations to provide care
and support for ministers. Our network goal is to help ministry
professionals and volunteers throughout the Church to develop
relationships and share resources that:
 | Advocate for pastoral care for ministers within the PC(USA)
and other denominations as well; |
 | Offer mutual support for those engaged in caring for
ministers; |
 | Establish “best practices” for the local care and support of
church professionals; |
 | Encourage research and study in the area of clergy self-care
and wellness; |
 | Model appropriate accountability in the exercise of pastoral
care for ministers; and |
 | Provide annual conferences for shared learning, resource
development, and support for care-givers at the judicatory
level. |
